AMWO’s Rozgar Scheme

Empowering Dreams Through Sustainable Livelihood

While providing food, clothes, and emergency aid is essential, true empowerment begins when a person is given the tools to stand on their own feet. At Azm-e-Momin Welfare Organization (AMWO), we believe in not just feeding the needy, but also enabling them to become self-reliant, confident, and capable of building their own future.

That belief gave rise to one of our most impactful initiatives: the Rozgar (Employment) Scheme, launched with the sole purpose of uplifting individuals through business opportunities and breaking the cycle of poverty—one family at a time.

🔄 A New Phase Every 4 Months – A New Beginning for Someone in Need

Every four months, AMWO launches a fresh round of its Rozgar Scheme. With each new cycle, we begin the process of identifying unemployed individuals from different regions who have no job, no stable income, and no support to build a livelihood.

These are individuals who want to work but are held back by financial limitations, lack of resources, or unforeseen life struggles. Our program offers them a second chance—a chance to chase their dreams, build their own small business, and become a source of support for their families.

📋 The Process – From Search to Sustainability

We’ve designed a transparent, step-by-step model that ensures every rupee is used with purpose, and every life we touch becomes a ripple of hope in the community.

1. 🔍 Survey and Identification

Our volunteers, rooted in local communities, carry out thorough field surveys every four months. They identify people who are:

  • Jobless and unable to find employment
  • Trying to start small businesses but lack capital
  • Supporting large families with no means to earn
  • Skilled individuals with no platform or resources to apply their trade
  • Youth or adults with dreams but no direction

Each case is carefully documented and brought forward for review.

2. 🧠 Confirmation & Need Assessment

After the initial identification, our confirmation team visits each applicant to validate their condition, skillset, interest, and readiness for starting a small business. During this phase, we sit with them, talk about their skills, interests, and business ideas, and evaluate the feasibility of their plan.

This step is crucial. We don’t impose a business—we help them build something they genuinely want, something that aligns with their passion and strengths.

Examples include:

  • Setting up a fruit or vegetable stall
  • Opening a tailoring shop
  • Starting a small grocery store (kiryana)
  • Selling mobile accessories
  • Launching a food cart (chai, pakora, chana, etc.)
  • Or any local business they have the skills for

3. 💼 Business Grant & Setup

Once everything is verified, AMWO provides the initial investment needed to get their small business up and running. This includes:

  • Equipment, tools, or materials
  • Stalls or shop setup
  • Inventory for the first few weeks
  • Basic training or market guidance (if needed)

This is not a loan in the traditional sense—it is a trust-based support, provided to help the individual kick-start a self-sustaining source of income.

4. ✍️ MOU (Return Commitment for Sustainability)

To ensure the sustainability of the program and make it a cycle of empowerment, we sign a mutual agreement (MoU) with the recipient. The agreement includes:

“Once your business becomes stable and you are able to earn enough to support yourself and your family, you will return the amount (partially or fully) to AMWO. This will not be a profit-based return, but a trust-based contribution to help us support another needy person like you.”

This revolving model helps us reuse funds and bring more people out of poverty every 4 months—creating a chain of hope and responsibility.

🌱 Why Rozgar Scheme Matters

Food support gives life. But a job or business gives purpose, dignity, and independence. With the Rozgar Scheme, we have already:

  • Helped dozens of families move from dependency to self-reliance
  • Empowered youth who were aimless due to joblessness
  • Supported widows who started tailoring businesses
  • Helped fathers start shops to feed their children proudly
  • Prevented desperate individuals from falling into begging or crime

This is poverty alleviation through empowerment—pure, impactful, and lasting.
